Pyron has a new app icon. Clubs now have their own profile, and you can apply to join a club. You start dungeons through a gate, and every dungeon has a guide. On top of that: a card after every Knockout week, a search for achievements and Pyron on Discord.

New app icon

Pyron has a new app icon: the glowing flame on dark blue. You get it with the App Store update.

Clubs

Every club now has a profile. At the top you see the crest, league, rating and members, below that three numbers: dungeons, Clash wins and how long the club has existed. Chiefs and deputies introduce their club under “Introduce club”, with a short text, the region, the style, the daily goal, the language and a background from their collection.

Also new is “Apply”: if you’re not in a club yet, you can apply to join one. The chief and deputies accept or decline your application, and you get a notification either way. You can only apply to one club at a time.

Dungeons

Under “Start” every dungeon is now shown as a gate. Swipe between the gates and tap “View dungeon” to walk through the gate to the dungeon’s page.

Under “Guides” every dungeon has a guide you swipe through: how steps are counted, what your goal is, what there is to win on each difficulty and which achievements await you there.

Knockout

After every Knockout week, a card shows you whether you’re through or out, with your place and your steps. After the final, everyone who took part gets a card with the final result.

A Knockout now counts four times as much as a Challenge towards your rating, up from three times.

Search for achievements

Under Achievements, “Progress”, there is now a search. You can find an achievement by its name, its title or a number, for example “10,000”.

Most achievements also have new names. What you need to do for them and which title they bring stays the same.

Discord and WhatsApp

Pyron now has a Discord server. There you can find a club, ask questions and tell us what you’d like to see in Pyron. If you like, you can link your Pyron name to Discord. Discord is for ages 16 and up.

You can also get Pyron news in the WhatsApp channel “Pyron Updates” (in German). You’ll find both at the top of Settings under “Discord & WhatsApp”.

Competition time

All competitions run on the same clock for everyone: competition time UTC+2 (UTC+1 in winter). If your iPhone is set to a different time zone, every competition shows you when its day ends for you, for example “the day ends at 15:00 for you”.

Anything you play on your own runs on your own clock: your daily goal, your own quests and your achievements.

Other changes

“Report a problem” is now a page of its own: choose bug, idea or question and write it down. With the App Store update you can also attach a photo.
“Steps & Health” shows at the top whether your steps are coming through, and what to do if not.
Pyron now only asks Apple Health for steps. Floors and calories are no longer shown.
The “Donate” tab shows the latest donations, and “How you get Flames” explains how you collect Flames.
When you move up or down a rank, Pyron shows it in a pop-up again.
New achievements: “Ten out of Ten” for your first full quest week and a donation series up to 50,000 Flames with three titles.
On Apple Watch, an achievement now shows at the top right when you’ll reach it at your current pace, like a sat nav. This comes with the App Store update.
Invite links now show a Pyron preview in WhatsApp.
All emails from Pyron are now available in English.
Many other improvements and bug fixes.

Version 1.0.11

Three new features: Live on the lock screen, an app for Apple Watch and widgets for the home screen. On top of that, achievements have been redesigned, the shop has been replaced by donations, and there are three new events.

Live on the lock screen

In a competition, tap “Live” at the top. Your lock screen and the Dynamic Island then show your rank and how many steps you are behind the rank ahead of you. The number counts along while you walk. Live is available in the Challenge, the Clash and the Knockout.

The number comes straight from the iPhone’s step counter, so it can briefly differ from the app.

Apple Watch

Pyron is now on Apple Watch too. The watch shows today’s steps with an hour-by-hour overview, how far you are from the next rank in your competitions and, if you like, an achievement you are working on. There are five complications for the watch face, for example for your place in a competition or your rank. If someone overtakes you, you get a notification on your watch.

The app comes to your watch together with Pyron. If it doesn’t: open the Watch app on your iPhone and, under “Available Apps”, tap “Install” next to Pyron.

Widgets

There are ten widgets for the home screen in three sizes, for example for today’s steps, your rank, how far you are from the next place, or the table of the Challenge, Knockout and Clash. They update on their own.

To add one: press and hold the home screen, tap “Edit”, then “Add Widget”, and search for Pyron.

Achievements

Achievements have been redesigned. All 227 achievements have their own badge, and achievements with several tiers are grouped on one card. New are “Favourites” and the “Friends” tab: there you can see which achievements your friends have earned, and you can take on an achievement together. Everyone earns it for themselves. On top of that there are twelve new achievements for particular times of day.

Titles now have a color that shows their difficulty: green, blue, purple or orange. Tap a title to see what you earned it for.

Donations instead of the shop

The shop is gone. Instead, you can donate Flames. All donations go into a shared pot. Once 1,000,000 Flames are in it, Pyron pays €100 to step, a nationwide movement project for primary and special-needs school children in Germany. You’ll find it under Home, “Donate”.

The daily gift is gone. Anything you bought in the shop is yours to keep.

Three new events

Halloween, October 25 to November 1: Every two days you walk a duel against an opponent of similar strength.
Christmas, December 24 to 31: You ride a sleigh to the North Pole. Every day there is a new daily goal, and every goal you reach makes you faster.
Easter, from March 21, 2027: Every day, four eggs are hidden at unknown step counts.

Dungeons

The dungeons have new artwork and a new overview. The next dungeon, The Soulrift, opens on November 1.

English

Pyron is now available in English. You can switch the language under Settings, “Language”.

Other changes

Dark mode is now blue instead of brown.
The inbox is easier to read.
You can set your daily goal with the new goal finder by answering a few short questions.
Quests: the 100 Flames for the week now only come once the Extreme Quest is done as well.
Titles now only come from achievements, so the Pyron Pass now ends at level 50.
If you don’t take a single step during a whole Challenge round, you are automatically paused for the next round.
